1. Photography
First on the list is photography. I really love to take pictures of nature and sunsets, even though I normally take them with my phone camera. (I took that moon photo and this one with my phone.) The reason why I like to photograph nature so much is kind of a simple explanation. You see, you can tell a human to sit a certain way, or pose like an Egyptian and they will stay there while you snap the shot. Nature, however, is so unpredictable. it could make beautiful flowers or a blazing sunset. You could be walking along the forest and there is a couple of trees that just grew together. You see, man can do that in a farm, but it would take years to perfect that. Nature is just like, "Hey, I wonder what would happen if I did this thing here?" It is all beautiful.
2. Baking and Cooking
Second up is baking and cooking. The reason I like them so much is because it give you a great sense of accomplishment when you finish. Making things with you hands is pretty fun too. You can get lost in thought when mixing eggs, butter, and sugar. No, just me? Okay, moving on. I really like making cookies and Asian food. Yeah, I don't know why Asian food either. My dad always wants me to make some elaborate dish. This one (beef wellington) took a whole seven hours to make. SEVEN HOURS! I mean, I love my dad and all, but, holy cow! Besides, it wasn't even that good! It is even better when you are cooking with music or you mother, take your pick.
3. Video Games
Last, but certainly not least, is video games. (Stereotypical, I know.) However, it doesn't change my love for it. My video game experience started when I was about 6 years old, watching my brother play Pokemon FireRed. (I know, we're a bunch of nerds.) I would go and watch him play on his Gameboy Advanced and think it was so cool to go around, dog fight, and entrap creatures into cages that are 20 times smaller than they are. I still remember something totally random. One day my brother was all like, "Hey, do you want one?" And me, being me said, "Yes! I want one of those blue ones!" (He was by the ocean so.) He then starred at me and said, "Okay." He fished awhile and finally caught one. A level 16, male, Horsea. "Do you want to name it?" he asked. "Yes!" I said in return. I named him Bubbles. My brother was far in the game and most of his Pokemon were level 40 and up. Needless to say, in battles my poor Bubbles got destroyed. In the following years he gave me his Gameboy and all of the games associated. I soon got really into the game and fell in love with these little data files. Fast forward many, many years to today. I really appreciate games now. The tireless hours put into them and the plots. My favorites include Shadow of the Colossus, Ico, and (still my all-time favorite) Pokemon FireRed.
